Gateway not reachable after a firmware update
Sometimes, after installing a firmware update, a gateway may temporarily become unreachable in your network or via its web interface/app. Below you’ll find the fastest and most common solutions in order of “easiest first”.
Step 1: Reconnect the power properly
- Unplug the power adapter from the gateway (and, if possible, from the power outlet as well).
- Wait 10–20 seconds.
- Plug the power back in.
Tip: If possible, use a reliable dedicated USB power adapter (not powered via a PC/modem/TV) to prevent problems caused by insufficient voltage. If needed, replace the USB cable with one that is max 1 meter long and has sufficient thickness—long, thin cables can cause connection issues.
Step 2: Check whether the gateway was reset to factory defaults (rare)
In most cases, the firmware update does not change your settings.
However, it can happen (very rarely) that the gateway is reset to factory defaults.
This may mean you lost some settings and the gateway may appear/work differently than before.
Refer to the installation guide:

Step 3: Check whether the settings need to be reconfigured
If your gateway has lost its settings, you will need to run through the basic configuration again.
Refer to the installation guide again for the correct steps and order:

Step 4: If it still doesn’t work — read the gateway log
If the gateway is still not reachable (or you can’t determine what’s going on), you can read the gateway log. This can help identify issues during startup/configuration.

Quick checklist
Gateway log read (if needed)
Power cycle done (unplugged/reconnected)
Possible factory defaults checked (rare)
Settings re-checked/reconfigured via the installation guide
