Gateway time/clock is incorrect
The gateway synchronizes its time with pool.ntp.org on UDP port 123 during startup.
Steps to check
1) Make sure the gateway has working internet access
For time synchronization to work, the gateway needs:
- A working network connection (WiβFi/LAN)
- DNS resolution functioning correctly
- Access to the internet allowed on UDP/123
What if the time is still incorrect?
Sometimes the time servers are simply unreachable or the synchronization doesnβt complete properly. This should not be seen as an error.
Important notes:
- The gateway only needs the time to schedule its processes.
- Whether the clock runs exactly on time or not is not critical β as long as the gateway has a time.
- Setting a custom NTP server manually is not possible.
Quick checklist
- Gateway has internet access
- DNS resolution is working
- Β Outbound traffic onΒ UDP port 123Β is allowed
