Is my WarmteLink compatible?

Vattenfall installs various WarmteLink P1 smart meters for district heating. They all have a P1 port that can be connected to the WarmteLink Gateway. However, only version 1 and 2 have this port enabled. In version 3, this port is still disabled but will be activated by Vattenfall in the future. Therefore, our WarmteLink Gateway only works with version 1 and 2. Our KAMST-IR Gateway can always be connected to district heating, regardless of your energy supplier.

WarmteLink with activated P1 port

WarmteLink waarbij P1 poort is deactivated

WarmteLink is NOT compatible with the Smart Gateways WarmteLink Gateway.

* At the moment, this is not yet possible. Vattenfall’s website states that the P1 port for this version will eventually be enabled. Unfortunately, the status hasn’t changed for some time. Once version 3 can be read, we will make our WarmteLink Gateway compatible through a firmware update. If you want to read your district heating data now, you can do so through the KAMST-IR Gateway for Kamstrup Multical heat meters.

Can I monitor my district heating in real-time?

Of course! The WarmteLink Gateway continuously transmits the energy consumption of your district heating, allowing you to always see your usage in real-time.

Can I use the WarmteLink Gateway without home automation software?

As with all our gateways, you can subscribe to the Online Energy Dashboard. You can select this option at checkout, or decide to do so later on.

Is the WarmteLink Gateway difficult to install?

We provide our WarmteLink Gateway with an installation guide that allows you to easily set up the gateway yourself.

Is the WarmteLink Gateway suitable for my district heating system?

The WarmteLink Gateway is designed for use with Vattenfall’s district heating. You connect the supplied cable to the P1 port of the WarmteLink smart meter. Only Version 1 and 2 are supported. Vattenfall has not yet activated the P1 port for Version 3. You can find photos of the different WarmteLink versions elsewhere on this page.

Does the WarmteLink Gateway also work with other energy providers?
