With the Water Level Gateway, you get an accurate overview of the water level in your water tank, rain barrel, or pond at a glance. This smart gateway is easy to connect to popular home automation platforms like Home Assistant, Domoticz, and Homey, and it supports full MQTT integration. It comes with a waterproof sensor that can be mounted above the water surface. The built-in Time Of Flight (TOF) sensor utilizes LiDAR technology, ensuring highly precise measurements. With a measurement range of 5 to 400 cm and a resolution of 1 cm, this sensor is ideal for various applications, including measurements in narrow pipes.

Thanks to the built-in web server, the gateway displays the water level in real time, allowing you to use it effortlessly without any additional home automation software. The water level is accurately calculated and displayed based on the entered maximum height and any sensor offset. This way, you always have immediate insight into the water level, completely independent of other systems.
Seamless integration with Home Assistant.
The Water Level Gateway fully integrates with Home Assistant, providing a user-friendly dashboard that displays all essential data at a glance. You can easily see the distance to the water surface in centimeters, and by entering the total distance from the sensor to the bottom of the tank, Home Assistant automatically calculates how full or empty the tank is. This information is clearly displayed in percentages, giving you accurate insight into your water level at all times.
The gateway also sends important diagnostic information to Home Assistant and allows for firmware updates directly through the dashboard.
MQTT topics
These topics can be used by Home Assistant, Domoticz, or any other software package, and then displayed on a dashboard. This opens up endless possibilities!
Webserver with JSON API
The Water Level Gateway features an internal web server where all information can be accessed via an API connection.
Firmware updates
Software development is always evolving, so new firmware updates for the gateway may be released from time to time. The gateway automatically checks for updates every day, and you can install them easily with just a button press.
You’ll also receive version information and details about new firmware via MQTT, so you can see this information on your dashboard. What’s more, you can install these updates directly through the Home Assistant dashboard without needing to be physically near the gateway!
Optional Extension Module Kit
The standard sensor cable is 50 cm long and comes with an RJ12 connector that plugs directly into the Water Level Gateway. Do you need to place the sensor further away? Then you can use the optional extension module kit. With this kit, you can extend the sensor cable up to 50 meters using a regular network cable (UTP Cat5e or Cat6, not included).
The kit includes:
2 modules (one master and one slave)
an additional 50 cm cable to connect the gateway to the master module
Each module is equipped with 2 ports:
one port for the gateway or sensor
one port for the UTP cable you provide (up to 50 meters, Cat5e/6 minimum)
The modules are powered directly by the Water Level Gateway and do not require an external power supply. A status LED on both modules indicates when the connection is active.
